Marileidy Paulino won the race with a time of 48.66, followed by Salwa Eid Naser and Natalia Kaczmarek. Adeleke, despite a strong start, finished fourth.
Adeleke expressed her determination to perform well despite difficulties: 'I just got here, I didn't have any of my stuff... coming towards the end of the season I just want to give that extra bit.'
Jakob Ingebrigtsen broke the long-standing 3000m world record, finishing in 7:17.55, surpassing the previous record of 7:20.67 set in 1996 by Daniel Komen.
Ingebrigtsen reflected on his performance, saying, 'I was hoping to challenge the world record here, but based on my training, I can never predict exactly what kind of time I am capable of.'
