Armen Sarkisyan, a pro-Russian collaborator from Ukraine's Donetsk region, died following an explosion in a Moscow residential complex. The blast, attributed to an unidentified device, occurred as Sarkisyan entered the complex's lobby with bodyguards. Known for his criminal activities and ties to pro-Kremlin figures, Sarkisyan had been on Ukraine's wanted list since 2014 for organizing murders and violence against EuroMaidan protesters. Recently, he had formed military units to fight against Ukraine amid the ongoing conflict, solidifying his role in the violence.
A blast in an upscale residential block in Moscow killed one person and wounded four others on Monday morning, Russian news agencies reported.
The suspected target and the sole person killed in the explosion has been identified as Armen Sarkisyan, a pro-Russian collaborator from the Donetsk region wanted by Ukraine.
Sarkisyan has been wanted by Kyiv since 2014 for organising murders in central Kyiv and was initially reported killed after a blast during a visit to Moscow.
After the full-scale war broke out, he founded the Separate Guards Special Purpose Battalion 'Arbat' to fight against Ukraine.
