World leaders, including Boris Johnson and Ursula von der Leyen, gathered in Kyiv to commemorate the third anniversary of the Ukraine war. The summit aims to discuss negotiations and security guarantees for Ukraine. Von der Leyen emphasized the existential stakes for Europe, while Johnson praised Ukraine's ongoing resistance against Russian aggression. President Zelensky expressed gratitude for the support and underscored the heroism of Ukrainians in their fight against the invasion. The summit reflects international solidarity with Ukraine and highlights the ongoing geopolitical implications of the conflict.
We are in Kyiv today, because Ukraine is Europe. In this fight for survival, it is not only the destiny of Ukraine that is at stake. It's Europe's destiny.
I salute the continuing heroism of the Ukrainian people in resisting a vile act of unprovoked aggression and I categorically reject the bizarre untruths currently being peddled about the origins of that war.
Three years of resistance. Three years of gratitude. Three years of absolute heroism of Ukrainians. I thank everyone who defends and supports it.
