Two Chinese prisoners of war, Wang Guangjun and Zhang Renbao, described their experience being conscripted into the Russian military under false pretenses. Wang, who thought he'd serve as a rehabilitation therapist, revealed that they were closely monitored and had no opportunities to escape from military training. Both men expressed hope that the Chinese government would intervene for their release and denied voluntarily fighting against Ukraine, sharing that their promised salaries were a lure to recruit them into the conflict.
