Run100s.com, an online directory for ultrarunners, marks its 30th anniversary this year. Founded in May 1995 by Stan Jensen, the site evolved from a simple passion project into a comprehensive resource for North American ultramarathon events, particularly focusing on 100-mile races. Although most races have their own websites now, Run100s remains relevant by offering links and resources for runners. Jensen, still actively managing the site in his 70s, intends to keep it running while seeking someone to carry it into the future.
The site has maintained its simple aesthetic and functional format through the decades, and it continues to act as a traditional breath of fresh air.
Jensen aims to maintain the site for as long as he can but is also looking for a willing ultrarunning and website enthusiast to hand it over.
