The 2024 Mountain Running World Cup culminates this weekend with the Kilometro Verticale Lagùnc and the Val Bregaglia Trail in northern Italy, highlighting the thrill and challenge of mountain racing.
The Kilometro Verticale Lagùnc holds the title of the longest-standing vertical-kilometer (VK) course globally, starting in Chiavenna and finishing after 3.3 kilometers with 1,000 meters of climbing.
Athletes will compete in both the Kilometro Verticale Lagùnc and the Val Bregaglia Trail, showcasing the versatility of competitors as they tackle different race formats in one weekend.
With a total prize pot of €30,000 and points awarded to the top 18 finishers, the Mountain Running World Cup draws elite athletes aiming for recognition and reward.
