Max Verstappen wins first F1 sprint race of season at Chinese Grand Prix

Max Verstappen won the first sprint race of the Formula One season at the Chinese Grand Prix, beating Lewis Hamilton by 13.043 seconds and extending his championship lead over Sergio Perez.
Verstappen, who passed Hamilton on the ninth lap, will be the favorite to win the Chinese Grand Prix after dominating with three wins in the first four races and finishing first in 22 of the last 26 races.
The sprint race in Shanghai was the first of six in the season, with Verstappen earning eight points for his victory, bringing his total to 85 points in the standings.
Lewis Hamilton, who finished second, expressed gratitude for leading for a short while during the race, as he has not been a major contender for several seasons, with his last win in 2021.
