"It's not easy and he was sick a few days after the Olympics but it was good that he did the Tour of Britain earlier this month. The stages weren't too long, and we had three intense days to get the body going again. We know that he can focus on a race but you also need to be lucky with how you wake up on a day," Lodewyck adds.
