Jack Stadlman, a previously junior varsity basketball player, discovered his exceptional speed and talent for running after quitting basketball to join the track team. With little experience, Stadlman's impressive times in the 100 and 200 meter sprints quickly hinted at his talent. Although initially hesitant about the 400 meters due to perceived difficulty, his coach, Desmond Lee, recognized his potential, believing Stadlman could dominate at state meets. Other coaches also expressed confidence in his capabilities, further fostering his development in this newfound athletic pursuit.
It's a story about a teenage athlete who discovered his freakish talent almost by accident.
I didn't want to do the 400; this race is too tiring and too much.

I believe what we're doing will conclude with him being on the top of the podium at the state meet.
