"The cherished memory of those runs over a quarter century ago inspired me to host a couple of training runs on the Cocodona 250 Mile course last weekend."
"What struck me about the weekend was how quickly and effortlessly the group came together and bonded."
In 2000, training for the Angeles Crest 100 Mile race led to friendships with a group known as the Bad Rats. They hosted a training camp that provided invaluable course knowledge and fostered lasting relationships. Inspired by this experience, training runs were organized for the Cocodona 250 Mile course, attracting around 40 participants on Sunday and 20 on Monday. The camaraderie and bonding among runners during these events highlighted the importance of community in endurance sports.
