Amateur runner stuns ultramarathon world after winning famous 106-mile Alps race
Briefly

Vincent Bouillard's win at the 106-mile Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc is remarkable, as he completed the race in 19 hours, 54 minutes, and 23 seconds, defeating a field of professionals.
Running the most grueling sections of the race under extreme environmental challenges, such as unexpected cold, heat, and grueling ascents, Bouillard's journey proves tenacity triumphs in sport.
Reflecting on his journey, Bouillard noted, 'The UTMB has been part of my life... I first volunteered, then supported runners... it was a dream come true.'
His victory is significant as only three men had previously finished the ultramarathon in under 20 hours since it began in 2003, making his achievement exceptional.
