Just over 900 runners started from Mayer High School at 7:00 a.m. on February 14, covering 55 miles on the historic Black Canyon National Recreational Trail. The course features a net downhill first half and most of the 7,000 feet of climbing in the tougher second half. The event is a super Golden Ticket race, the second stop in the 2026 World Trail Majors, and offered crowd-matched prize money totaling over $16,000.
