"So were all of the 7/7 bombers. It takes more than a piece of paper to make somebody British."
"These migrants do not instantly adopt the host country's British' or English' culture and identity the moment they sign a few papers."
"I stand by every word. People who blow up British children at pop concerts, people who murder British commuters"
Reform UK named Matthew Goodwin honorary president of its new Students4Reform organisation. Goodwin posted on X that being born and raised in the UK does not always make people from black, Asian or other immigrant backgrounds British. He blamed mass uncontrolled immigration after a mass stabbing in Huntingdon and, when challenged that suspects were UK-born, referenced the 7/7 bombers and wrote that a passport does not automatically make someone British. Goodwin listed crimes he attributed to immigrants and wrote that migrants do not instantly adopt British or English culture. The appointment provoked accusations that Reform UK is embracing racism.
