The Waterfront review this Dawson's Creek for grownups is perfect summer nonsense
Briefly

Kevin Williamson has revisited the nostalgia of 'Dawson's Creek' with a new series set in the fictional town of Havenport, North Carolina. This adult reimagining incorporates elements of crime as the wealthy but troubled Buckley family faces challenges due to a declining fishing business. Following patriarch Harlan's health issues, his inept son Cane turns to drug smuggling to salvage the family's fortunes amid violent and corrupt developments. The story unfolds with grim realities, reinforcing themes of familial strife and moral ambiguity in a fast-moving narrative.
Harlan returns to the office to beat the living daylights out of Cane and advise the clan that the problem lies not in drug smuggling but in not drug smuggling enough.
Cane decided the best way to do this was to start shifting illegal narcotics for wodges of cash and an unseen gangster called Owen.
