The survey, with 1,585 participants, revealed that a majority identified as straight, with a notable representation of other sexual orientations. It highlighted Portland's reputation for sexual openness and positivity, contrasting it with less dynamic cities. The survey's design, filled with thought-provoking questions, also stood out, attracting many more respondents compared to typical local surveys.
A whopping 1,585 Portlanders filled out our 2025 survey—almost triple the number of participants in standard local surveys, showcasing Portland's unique engagement.
Most respondents identified as straight (47%) followed by bisexual (18%). Interestingly, cis men (52%) predominated, while 3% identified as lesbians but contributed 90% of sex-positive answers.
