As Christ was crucified for our sins, He nailed the sins with our sinful nature on the cross (Colossians 2:14), meaning that we were crucified with him (Romans 6:6).
In other words, we don't live by logical reasoning but by faith in Jesus.
The qualities imply that anyone born of God loses interest in indulging in sin because their sinful nature has been crucucified with Christ and, as such, is dead to sin (Galatians 5:24).
