Noha Olivia Fahmy and Syed Saif Ul Mujahid are internationally mobile professionals who live in Dubai. Noha was born in Geneva of Swiss and Egyptian descent and grew up across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Saif is from Pakistan and works at TikTok. The couple became engaged in Dubai in 2023 and planned a November 2024 wedding in Marrakech for 100 guests. Marrakech was chosen for its blend of European, North African, and Middle Eastern cultures and its flexibility with budgets and party sizes. The weekend included a boisterous Pakistani party, a ceremony among palm trees at Ksar Char-Bagh, and dancing under disco balls and hammered-metal lanterns. The planning approach emphasized thorough research and choices between hiring local planners or using venue-recommended planners.
