While traveling back to university with my partner, a flat tire left us stranded at dusk without the knowledge to fix it. Noticing our plight, a stranger stopped to assist without hesitation. He expertly handled the tire change, explaining each step and allowing me to participate. His guidance and swift action made the situation manageable and instilled a sense of gratitude in me. After the tire was changed, the stranger departed as quickly as he arrived, leaving me with valuable experience and appreciation for spontaneous acts of kindness.
The man hopped out of the driver's side and made his way over to us. He was a lifesaver. What he did in minutes would likely have taken me an hour (minimum). I helped him pull the old tire off, rolled the new one over, and helped finalize the process.
He talked through the entire process from setting the jack to loosening the bolts before removing the flat. The gentleman had me tighten some of the bolts on the spare just to get a sense of what it felt like to do it myself.
