Kyley Majmudar decided her baby would carry her last name while her then-boyfriend chose the baby's first name, Aubrey. She accepted the choice even though she did not love it. About a month after the daughter's birth, Majmudar discovered the boyfriend had been unfaithful and that the other woman’s young daughter was also named Aubrey and had the name tattooed. After confronting him and obtaining his signed consent, Majmudar petitioned the court and legally renamed her infant daughter Harper, a name her mother favored that Majmudar said "just fit."
