UAN House sits within low, dense vegetation on a gentle slope descending toward the street in San Carlos de Bariloche. Elevated viewpoints reveal panoramic views of the lake and the Ventana and Catedral hills. The design preserves existing vegetation by organizing the program into two separate volumes. One volume contains the residence while the other is conceived as a garden elevated above the original landscape. The elevated garden minimizes ground disturbance, maintains the natural terrain, and enhances visual connection with the surrounding topography.
