New figures reveal that 170,000 homes have not submitted local property tax (LPT) returns. A total of 390,000 properties are yet to file. Property owners were required to revalue their properties and indicate payment methods. Revenue reports that payments are being received for 227,000 properties based on 2021 valuations. Revenue will begin its annual LPT non-compliance campaign, sending letters to those who have not paid. Failure to respond may lead to deductions from wages and enforcement actions, including interest charges on unpaid amounts.
