A building in Puigpunyent, Mallorca led by the IBAVI (Balearic Housing Institute) is designed with sustainability, energy efficiency, and respect for the natural environment. Design and construction draw on a local-economy model that revives traditional trades and construction systems. Passive strategies derived from native island culture are integrated to reduce energy demand and environmental impact. The design team includes Jose Hevia and nineteen collaborators: Andrea Capella Monaco, Joan Marti Elias, Carolina Capella Monaco, Jordi Adell Roig, Julia Nabona Jasans, Sandra Vargas, Marina Morey, Gori Llambias, Raquel Miron, Rebeca Lopez, and Eric Moya.
