The recently approved settlement regarding the National Association of Realtors' commission practices may not mark the end of legal troubles, as new lawsuits arise.
The Ohio-based plaintiffs allege that the NAR's previously implemented Participation Rule inflated commissions and hindered fair negotiations among brokers, resulting in significant financial damages.
According to the claim, the inflated commissions not only harmed the plaintiffs financially but also limited resources available for community-focused renovation projects in Northeast Ohio.
NAR has stated they will respond to the new lawsuit in court, emphasizing their commitment to addressing the claims brought forth by the plaintiffs.
