My favourite room: 'Trying to get pregnant can be scary but it doesn't need to be' - inside the family home of fertility nutritionist Amy Swan
"There was a time when Amy Swan worried that she and her husband David Twohig would never have children. Now they have two and as a result, Amy has started a whole new career. The couple have also created a beautiful home for their gorgeous family. Like many period homes in south county Dublin, Amy Swan's house boasts an impressive collection of artworks."
"However, among the paintings there are also prints and drawings of a very British institution - Battersea Power Station. Amy and her husband David Twohig are both Irish so, on the face of it, the power station might seem a bit random. Nonetheless, it's an integral part of their story. Built in the 1920s, Battersea Power Station at its operational peak supplied London with one fifth of its electricity before becoming derelict in the mid 1970s."
Amy Swan once feared she and her husband David Twohig would never have children. They now have two children, which prompted Amy to begin a whole new career. The couple created a beautiful family home in a south county Dublin period house filled with paintings, prints and drawings. Among the works are images of Battersea Power Station, which might seem unexpected given the couple's Irish background. Battersea Power Station was built in the 1920s and once supplied one fifth of London's electricity, fell into dereliction in the mid 1970s, and was regenerated in the 2000s into apartments, shops, cinemas, galleries and event spaces.
