Mission BUZZ: Housing, a brewery and an owner who stands her ground on cannabis
"The proposed 20,500-square-foot building would be composed of two one-bedroom units (including a one-bedroom dwelling accessory unit), seven two-bedroom units and three three-bedroom units. The structure would also have 10 parking spots and 12 bicycle spaces, but no commercial ground floor space. Per city requirements, two of the units will be affordable. The project takes advantage of state law SB 423, which expedites permitting processes. The project is expected to cost $8.2 million. Riyah Ghannam from the Mission District's RG Architecture is the designer."
"Sugoi Brewing Company submitted an application to the Alcoholic Beverage Control department for a Small Beer Manufacturer license on Jan. 26 for the space at 2931 16th St., near Capp Street. These licenses are for brewpubs and smallcraft breweries. Sugoi Brewing Company launched last year and brews its beers in the San Francisco Bay Area for food and friends, according to the company's Instagram account."
An existing two-story commercial building at 668 Guerrero St. would be replaced by a seven-story, 11-unit, 20,500-square-foot residential building. Unit mix includes two one-bedrooms (including one one-bedroom accessory dwelling unit), seven two-bedrooms and three three-bedrooms. The structure would provide 10 parking spots and 12 bicycle spaces with no ground-floor commercial space. Two units will be affordable and the project uses state law SB 423 for expedited permitting. The project is estimated at $8.2 million, designed by Riyah Ghannam of RG Architecture and developed by Real Equity Group One, LLC. Separately, Sugoi Brewing Company applied for a Small Beer Manufacturer license for 2931 16th St., offering Asian-inspired beers and past food pairings with local restaurants.
