The number of new listings in Houston was 2,720, which was 10.8% less than the month before and 2.1% more than the same time last year. Nationally, the number of new listings fell by 14.1% from last month to 330,908."
Median listing price in Houston was $325,000 in November, slipping slightly month-over-month. Price per square foot in Houston decreased 0.4% from the prior month, a smaller decline than the national 1.2% drop. Active inventory numbered 11,426 homes, practically unchanged month-over-month and 21.7% higher than the same month last year. New listings in Houston totaled 2,720, down 10.8% month-over-month and up 2.1% year-over-year. National active inventory fell 2.5% to 1,072,266, and national new listings fell 14.1% to 330,908. Homes in Houston averaged 53 days on market, three days longer year-over-year; the national average was 64 days.
