"The homes in An Droichead Órga will be primarily cost-rental, with 441 in this category, and the remaining 137 set to be social homes. Out of the 587 units, 110 will be studio apartments, while 172 will be one-bedroom units. A further 250 will be two-bedroom, and 46 will have three bedrooms. DCC said the development would conform to the "highest environmental and energy standards," and be rated at 'Nearly Zero Energy Building' levels."
"The overall scheme will contain a number of new community facilities when complete, including a new library/community hub, a creche, supermarket, café, retail units, and accessible play areas and activity spaces. Residents will also enjoy access to private communal space within the residential courtyards, along with excellent transport links such as the Luas Red Line and several bus routes. Ray McAdam, Dublin's Lord Mayor, said the development was "the kind of ambitious, community-focused development that Dublin needs.""
This phase of the regeneration scheme will incorporate 487 homes alongside a creche and library/community hub, to be delivered by Elliot Building & Civil Engineering Ltd. Construction for this tranche will begin in February 2026 and conclude in January 2028. The homes in An Droichead Órga will be primarily cost-rental (441), with 137 social homes.
