The Supercopa de Espana final has been contested between these two foes for the previous two seasons, with Barcelona triumphing in 2022/23. However, Real Madrid got their sweet revenge earlier in the 2023/24 campaign, hammering the Catalan club during the showpiece event in Saudi Arabia.
It took just ten minutes for Real to put Barca to the sword with quick-fire strikes from Vinicius Junior after some unimpressive defending from Xavi's side. Jude Bellingham was the hero for Real in their victory over Barcelona.

Barcelona's defence of their La Liga title took a big hit just two months into the 2023/24 season, falling to an agonising late defeat at home to Madrid in the first Clasico of the campaign. Ilkay Gundogan bagged his first goal for the Catalan side after just six minutes, but things unravelled in the second half.
