Miguel Gutierrez's agent, Daniel Mendez, has indicated a strong desire for the player to return to Real Madrid, where he once spent over a decade in their academy. After leaving due to limited first-team prospects, Gutierrez has thrived at Girona, contributing significantly to their recent success, including Champions League qualification. Given Madrid's financial feasibility of a buy-back option for just 9 million euros this summer, discussions around his potential return have intensified, especially considering the uncertain future of current left-back Ferland Mendy.
"We would love for Real Madrid to bring back Miguel," Mendez gushed. "Everyone knows his desire, but it doesn't depend on him. If he returns, we'll all be happy."
Gutierrez is expected to costs Madrid just 9m this summer and 10m in 2026, making a return financially feasible.
The left-back spent over a decade at the club's academy - La Fabrica, and readily featured for Real Madrid Castilla, even making ten appearances for the senior team.
