While you can always roll your own authentication system, AWS Cognito offers a ready-to-use solution that integrates with various Identity Providers like Google, enabling users to restrict access based on specific domains.
We will be using the amplify npm package instead of the AWS Amplify framework to simplify the process and avoid additional complexity, including the deployment of extra Lambda functions.
