'You never forget these things' - priest visits family in hospital after Donegal crash kills girl (6) and leaves parents and infant sister seriously injured
Briefly

A 6-year-old girl died following a traffic collision in Co Donegal, which left her mother, father, and infant sister injured. The mother is in critical condition at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast, while the father has non-life-threatening injuries. The tragic incident occurred on the R240 at Carrowmore. Fr Con McLaughlin visited the family in the hospital and described the heart-wrenching scene, recalling the memories of previous serious accidents in the area. Local sentiment reflects the ongoing tragedies on the roads in Inishowen.
Words are inadequate to express how I feel today. When I heard about the accident, I immediately went straight over to Altnagelvin Hospital and the scene there in the accident and emergency room is something I will never forget. It renewed all the memories I had of the very serious accidents that happened previously in the area.
The grandmother was showing me photos of the two wee girls, and it was heart-wrenching. It's the kind of news that stops you in your tracks and breaks your heart in two.
