Shukurova, who has no medical license in New York, allegedly promoted her services online under the names "Dr. Nargiza" and "Dr. Nargis," advertising body enhancement and facial cosmetic services."
"According to the investigation, Shukurova performed the procedure on May 7, 2023, without conducting a medical history or physical exam. The victim later developed a severe infection that worsened over several days. Prosecutors said the defendant discouraged the woman from seeking hospital treatment and attempted to manage her condition herself. Nearly three weeks later, the victim lost consciousness and required emergency surgery and extensive hospitalization to survive."
