Twenty military surgeons and 138 public health doctors will be sent to 20 hospitals for four weeks, South Korea's defense ministry is prepared to dispatch more military doctors if needed.
Authorities have been sending notices to trainee doctors warning them of imminent license suspension, while criminal complaints were filed against strike leaders. The government plans to be lenient towards returning trainee doctors.
