"We take these matters seriously and are committed to providing a safe, clean environment for our customers and team members. We've acted immediately to address the concerns, enhancing our cleaning measures, increasing staffing to maintain standards, and are working closely with the Boston Board of Health,"
"Multiple rodents droppings observed on potato chips/candy and popcorn shelvings,"
"all violations related to rodent infestation"
Health inspectors found rodent droppings, chewed chip bags, cockroaches, frozen foods on the ground, and mice at the Walgreens at 1890 Columbus Ave. Multiple rodent-related violations were recorded on Oct. 29, Oct. 6, April 6, April 3, and March 26. A pre-hearing inspection found all rodent-related violations corrected, and a final compliance inspection is scheduled to confirm resolution and determine whether an administrative hearing or other enforcement is necessary. Inspection records show a failed March health inspection and a passing April inspection despite cited rodent problems. The company has enhanced cleaning, increased staffing, and is working with the Boston Board of Health.
