Donations of all blood types are needed, with particular demand for type O and platelet donors. Type O blood offers broad compatibility and can help many patients. Platelets stop bleeding, are often required by cancer patients, and must be used within a week due to short storage life. To make an appointment, visit vitalant.org or call 877-25-VITAL.
