New major catch-up campaign to target missed measles vaccines amid fears of surge in cases

Ireland is vulnerable to outbreaks of measles because overall vaccination rates with the MMR vaccine has fallen below 90pc and is even lower in some counties.
Healthcare workers will be offered the jab as well as at-risk groups such as Travellers, Roma, homeless people, refugees and asylum-seekers, vulnerable migrants and prisoners.
