From Jan. 1, 2024, to Jan. 9 this year, 420 people tested positive, and through the first week of November 2025 the city recorded 348 cases. Manhattan accounted for 44% of October cases, with most recent infections occurring among unvaccinated or incompletely vaccinated individuals, and many infected persons reported multiple sexual partners.
