King Charles will reduce the regularity of his cancer treatment in the new year as his recovery reaches a positive, precautionary phase. His medical team will assess how much longer treatment will be required to protect and prioritise continued recovery. In a prerecorded Channel 4 message for Stand Up to Cancer, he credited early diagnosis, effective intervention and adherence to doctors' orders for his improvement and highlighted early detection as providing invaluable time and hope. He did not disclose the cancer type. He expressed concern that about 9 million people in the UK are not up to date with screenings and welcomed a new national screening checker showing eligibility for breast, bowel and cervical programmes.
