The Helen Frankenthaler Foundation announced the recipients of its 2025 Frankenthaler Climate Initiative grants, totaling $3.4 million to support energy-efficient practices in US arts organizations. Continuing its commitment to environmental sustainability, the initiative will extend for another five years, allocating funds across various grant categories to assist different project scopes. This year’s grantees include innovative organizations like the Cheyenne River Youth Project and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, which are implementing significant infrastructure changes to reduce carbon footprints and improve their environmental impact through renewable energy sources and energy-efficient systems.
The Foundation is proud to continue supporting visionary projects that are reshaping the way arts institutions operate.
Established in 2021, the annual grants support US arts organizations in making their facilities energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable.
