The 6th annual Global Health Education Day at Northwestern showcased the contributions of educators, students, and community partners to global health. Hosted by the Center for Global Health Education, the event featured keynote addresses, presentations, and discussions on various global health topics. Ashti Doobay-Persaud highlighted the significance of continued collaboration in the face of funding complexities. Notably, Susan van Schalkwyk delivered insights on the importance of knowledge in health scholarship, reinforcing the commitment to education and community resilience in global health efforts across Northwestern and its partner institutions.
Today is a celebration of the vibrant and diverse work being done in global health education and research, and a chance to learn from one another as we continue to grow this community.
We recognize that this work continues in the face of growing challenges, including an increasingly complex funding landscape. Despite these headwinds, the commitment and creativity of this community remain strong.
