All donors who give blood at a Stanford Blood Center, including the South Bay Donor Center in Campbell, during the month of October will be automatically entered into the drawing."

Building a home library, reading to children starting at birth, and introducing families to their public library are important ways to help our littlest learners become successful readers, said County Librarian Jennifer Weeks in a release."

All donors who give blood at any Stanford Blood Center location in October, including the South Bay Donor Center in Campbell, will be automatically entered. Donors should be healthy, bring a photo ID, and be at least 17 years old (or 16 with parental consent). There is an immediate need for all blood types, especially type O; appointments and walk-ins are available. The Santa Clara County Library District is enrolling children under age five in Dolly Parton's Imagination Library to receive monthly free, age-appropriate books in English or Spanish; books arrive about eight to 12 weeks after registration and continue monthly until a child's fifth birthday.
