Testing for tuberculosis is underway at Amazon's Coventry warehouse after a handful of workers were found to have contagious TB last year. The UK Health Security Agency began a screening programme in September and identified several individuals responding well to treatment who are no longer infectious. Amazon reported that 10 people at the site later tested positive for latent TB. The company followed NHS and UKHSA guidance, briefed staff, and is running an expanded screening programme. TB is fully treatable with antibiotics, but the GMB union has called for temporary closure until infection control measures are implemented.
