"YouTube has rolled out the capability to set your Shorts feed limit to zero minutes, which could help you stop doomscrolling, at least on mobile."
"When you select it, you may see a notice that says 'Scrolling is paused but you may still see individual Shorts.'"
"To be able to block stop Shorts from showing up for you, go to your Setting page in the YouTube app for mobile."
YouTube has introduced a feature enabling users to set their Shorts feed limit to zero minutes, eliminating short-form videos from their mobile feed. Previously, the minimum limit was 15 minutes, which included reminders to take breaks. This feature, initially integrated with parental controls, is now available to all users. To activate this option, users can navigate to the Settings page in the YouTube app, select 'Time management,' and adjust the 'Shorts feed limit.' Other time options are also available, with a maximum of two hours.
