Life360 added a no-show notification that sends an alert when a friend or family member does not arrive at a specified place by a set time. The feature aims to reduce constant location checking and frequent 'where are you?' messages. Users enable the alert from a circle member's profile by selecting "Set a No Show Alert," choosing a place and time, and optionally setting repeat days. Alerts include a short grace period before triggering and can be one-time or recurring. Anyone sharing location in the family can set or receive alerts, and location sharing can be turned off. The feature will roll out to all members.
Coordination is generally a top concern for families, but this is especially true during the busy back-to-school season. In fact, new app downloads of Life360 actually peak during the weeks leading up to the first day of school,
No Show Alerts were designed to give parents peace of mind and mitigate the need to constantly check in on their kids' whereabouts. It's a tool to encourage trust in their families to get where they need to be, while still having a backup alert if they need to step in and see why someone didn't make it to where they are supposed to be.
