Toronto MP Kevin Vuong settles lawsuit over COVID-19 mask business | CBC News
Briefly

Toronto MP Kevin Vuong has settled a $1.5 million lawsuit brought by designer Anna-Maria Mountfort, who claimed unfair exclusion from a mask-making business.
Mountfort alleged she was cut out of her own business, claiming she created the name and design for the mask and faced breach of agreement.
Vuong and his business partner denied that Mountfort was ever a formal partner, stating their version of events in the court filing.
Vuong, formerly a Liberal MP, faced controversies including a dropped sexual assault charge and sought to join the Conservative caucus.
