A recent study from Bridewell revealed alarming statistics about cybersecurity in the UK’s critical national infrastructure (CNI) sector. An overwhelming 95% of CNI organizations faced data breaches in the past year, leading to financial losses over £100,000 for more than half of them. Cloud services and web browsing emerged as primary attack vectors. Additionally, concerns about compliance and supply chain security were prevalent. The report emphasizes a gap between perceived cybersecurity maturity and actual best practices, exemplified by only a quarter of organizations implementing proper risk assessments.
