Reform can learn from Lib Dems on ground campaigning, says Richard Tice

Richard Tice emphasized that the immediate focus for Reform UK is to target local elections in England next May, capitalizing on the disarray of the Tories and unpopularity of Labour after a harsh winter.

Tice remarked on the importance of building professionalism within the party, stating that efforts will be made to create new branches and select candidates, which echo the Liberal Democrats' successful grassroots strategies.

Amid the celebratory mood of the conference, concerns regarding internal dissent about a new party constitution arose, particularly over fears that it would enable Nigel Farage to maintain absolute control, raising governance issues within the party.

Tice acknowledged the Liberal Democrats as exemplary in ground campaigning, stating, "We've got to learn from the wonderful Lib Dems, who are very good at that. They’re the best at ground campaigning, and I think we should give credit where it's due."
