The Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) denounced a petition targeting B-girl Rachael Raygun Gunn, highlighting that it harbors many false claims and promotes bullying.
AOC's Matt Carroll stated that the petition's allegations against Gunn and chef de mission Anna Meares are disgraceful, fueled by misinformation and malice.
The AOC emphasized that the selection process for B-girl Gunn was fair, involving nine independent judges, thereby dispelling claims of manipulation and nepotism.
Carroll urged change.org to take down the harmful petition, stating public opinion should not be formed based on defamatory and malicious untruths.
