Raspberry Pi RP2350 microcontroller now available
Briefly

The Raspberry Pi RP2350 microcontroller is now available from resellers, marking a significant update on the RP2040 with its two RISC-V cores and 520 KB memory. The introduction of security features is noteworthy for the industry. While the RP2350 lacks flash memory, a future variant, RP2354, will include 2 MB of stacked flash. Despite its strengths, there are concerns about the GPIO functionalities due to increased leakage current, which the Raspberry Pi team is aware of as they prepare a new stepping to address it.
The Raspberry Pi RP2350 microcontroller is now generally available, featuring enhanced specifications over its predecessor, the RP2040, and introducing new security capabilities.
The RP2350 microcontroller integrates two RISC-V Hazard3 cores, boasts 520 KB of on-chip memory, and brings significant hardware security improvements compared to the RP2040.
Raspberry Pi is also planning a new variant, the RP2354, expected to include 2 MB of flash memory and is currently nearing final development stages.
A documented issue in the RP2350 datasheet highlights increased leakage current on Bank 0 GPIO pads under certain conditions, affecting their functionality.
