On Saturday, chaos erupted at Japan's New Chitose airport as the disappearance of a pair of scissors led to the cancellation of 38 flights and the delay of over 200 others.
Airport staff undertook a lengthy search for the missing scissors, halting security checks for two hours while passengers faced increasing frustration and confusion in the terminal.
Fortunately, the scissors were eventually recovered in the shop from which they had gone missing, dispelling fears that they had been taken with malicious intent.
